On Roof Solar Hot Water System.
Our most popular product, the traditional solar system is the most effective way to convert hot water from the sun.
Before installing a close-coupled thermosyphon system, the following should be considered;
(a) Will you be happy with the look of the system on the roof? It must be installed on the most north facing roof - so consideration should be taken if on front facing elevation.
(b) Is the roof i. strong enough to bear the weight of the system when it is full of water or, if not, ii. can it be strengthened?
(c)Is the roof between 15 and 25 degrees? If not a frame may be needed.
(d) Is there access to the system for installation and ongoing maintenance?
(e) Have boosting options been considered (e.g. electric or gas, instantaneous or storage)?
(f) Will safety equipment such as cranes, scaffolding or safety fencing be required, particularly if the home is double story?
