All greywater from showers, spas and washing machines is collected in a small HDWA approved poly propylene tank outside the house. The tank contains a Grundfos high quality stainless steel pump which is float activated. When the float rises the greywater is pumped to a 25mm header pipe and then into a subsurface dripper system which feeds the roots of the plants. A large filter and automatic dump valves keep the system clear of debris such as lint and hair. The system has an Australian Standard main electrical control box with blue light alarm plus a 100mm reflux valve to prevent the backflow of  sewerage into the tank.

The System
The WaterGurus NovaGrey is a compact domestic greywater treatment system which has been designed using WaterGurus’s patented MembraneSafe™technology, (commercial technology which has been downsized into a domestic system) to treat domestic grey water to a very high standard.

WaterGurus NovaGrey is suitable for installation in any area (whether sewered or not) and can recycle up to 1,148 litres of grey water per day, producing recycled water ideal for laundry use, toilet flushing, vehicle washing, external hosing and garden irrigation. The system is designed to be installed above ground only and is 1500mm in height and 800mm in diameter.
